Apparel Veteran Passes Away
Marc Wizman, partner and vice president at Los Angeles contemporary apparel company Love Amour, passed away on May 21 at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after struggling with cancer. He was 47.
More than 1,000 people attended his funeral on May 23 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burbank, Calif.
Wizman, who grew up in Casablanca, Morocco, had been in the garment industry for more than 25 years. One of his first companies was Chino, which made men’s and women’s sportswear.
In 1999, he joined Love Amour to help the company’s founder, Maurice Amar, run the business.
“He was the best thing that happened to me and my company, ” Amar said. “Everybody loved this guy. Not just me but the whole world.”
Wizman is survived by his wife, Daniella, and four children, Steven, Stephanie, Michael and Kevin. —D.B.
