Gerber's New Suite
Gerber Technology recently relocated its Southern California regional headquarters to the Cerritos Towne Center and held an open house on June 30 to celebrate the event. The new facility is adjacent to the Cerritos Performing Arts Center and within a few miles of the Los Angeles area’s apparel production base. The company moved from Commerce. Its national headquarters is in Tolland, Conn.
The company develops computer-aided design software for the sewn products industry as well as cutters, spreaders, plotters and product development software. The new facility includes a CAD demo room, two training classes and a plotting room.
“This is a better location for our customers,” said Deputy Director Rodney Harrelson. “Our other facility was growing old. This gives us the environment we we’re looking for.”
Harrelson manages the office, which is responsible for sales and support for the Western region. Staff includes Zone Service Manager Richard Aumend and sales executives Ugo Marletto, Bryan Kastner, Harry Vose, Judy DeLeon, Dawn Dacquisto and zone administrator Monica Ruiz.
Gerber is riding high after posting its year-end results, which showed significant improvements.
The company reported sales of $160 million and profits of $19.2 million compared to sales of $154 million and profits of $13.4 million in 2003.
“We have improved profitability and are now on a solid path to renewed growth,” said company president James Arthurs, who added that sales in North America alone grew by 30 percent.
The company’s new address is 17777 Center Court Dr., Suite 175, Cerritos, 90703. The phone is (562) 916-7771.
