Dallas to Honor Missoni, Tiffany
The Dallas Market Center will present Italian fashion house Missoni and John Loring of New York–based luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. with fashion awards on Oct. 23 at the 29th annual Dallas Fashion Awards gala.
The DMC will honor Missoni family members for their more than 50 years of craftsmanship and design excellence and will recognize Loring for his 25 years as the design director of Tiffany & Co.
“The Missoni family members are true craftsmen whose designs are as thoughtful and beautiful today as when they first burst onto the fashion scene in the 1950s,” said Bill Winsor, president and chief executive officer of the DMC. “John Loring personifies the high level of refinement associated with Tiffany & Co. We honor his continuing service to the business of style.”
A special Missoni retrospective runway show will be the highlight of the event, which will also include an awards show recognizing 15 other resources for fashion excellence.
The event will benefit the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS and the Fashion Group International Scholarship Fund. —Robert McAllister
