The California Market Center and the Cristina Angarola Showroom in Los Angeles hosted a Summer ’04 swimwear fashion show highlighting the latest styles of Susan Holmes, designer of Holmes Swimwear.
Holmes Swimwear is the latest addition to the Angarola showroom and the first swim collection to be featured in the showroom. To kick off her new home in the showroom, the designer offered clean-yet-edgy string bikinis that showed plenty of rock ’n’ roll attitude. The crowd included CMC executives, media, stylists and Holmes’ husband, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, who sat in the front row cheering her on.
The 30-piece collection features novelty embellishments, such as O-ring and seashell details. Holmes chose a bright color palette for the collection, which offers pink floral, blue plaid and tropical scene prints.
“I’m continuously inspired by vintage fashion,” Holmes said.
Standout pieces included an embroidered bikini with a suede panel and a peacock-print bikini.
Next up, Holmes is preparing to introduce stylish beachwear to her collection. With deliveries beginning on May 30, the line will feature bikinis, sexy sweats, T-shirts, shortshorts and miniskirts in cotton and denim fabrications, and embroidered ponchos.
