Agenda and Alternative Brands Move Into CMC
Agenda—a trade show for alternative fashion, music and art—has signed on to stage shows during the April and October market weeks at the California Market Center in Los Angeles. The show will take place on the 11th floor of the B wing. It will be adjacent to a new trade show area designated for young men’s and women’s street and contemporary fashions, CMC spokeswoman Deirdre Mendoza said.
The area, which had been vacant, has high ceilings and cement floors—an appropriate stage for the growing Agenda show, which last November showed in a temporary space on the eighth floor. Exhibitors included Stuuml;ssy, 55DSL, Fresh Jive, Grnappletree, Looseleaf, Lithium and Zoo York, among others.
Last November, Agenda artists painted a mural on one wall during the show. Organizers may do the same for the new space.
“It will definitely have an alternative feel,” Mendoza said.
“The [additional trade show space] will provide a nice complement to Agenda, which was very successful during last market.”
