Tag-It Debuts Trim Management Solution
Woodland Hills, Calif.–based trim supplier Tag-It Pacific Inc. has rolled out a new e-sourcing software solution to facilitate the ordering and shipment of the company’s trim components throughout the global supply chain.
Company chief executive Colin Dyne said Tag-It has already placed the new product, Trim- Net, with a major 600-unit retailer. The Oracle-based system allows users to develop and organize a bill of materials and an order management system. This enables users to maintain and communicate trim requirements by style so contracted factories can place orders online by style number.
“This program involves supplying complete trim packages—including thread, our Talon zippers and all logo trim—to dozens of factories throughout Asia and Latin America [for this account],” said Dyne. “Through TrimNet, we give our customers something that they have never had before: complete visibility and control over their entire trim supply chain.”
Tag-It supplies Talon zippers, Tek-Fit non-elastic waistbands and other trim components to manufacturers including the Tarrant Apparel Group, Azteca Production International, Levi Strauss & Co., the Abercrombie & Fitch Co., Express, The Limited, Millers Outpost and Lerner New York Inc., among others.
Tag-It recently secured $23 million in private-placement financing to drive the company’s chief initiatives, which include the TrimNet venture as well as the Tek-Fit and Talon divisions. —R.M.
