Rosansen Boutique Bows in Los Angeles
Southern California is cluttered with golf courses, but it has only one Rosasen. The Los Angeles–based design house, which mixes streetwear and the golf lifestyle, recently opened its first flagship store, on Robertson Boulevard—appropriately only a few miles from Rancho Park, the site of Los Angeles’ biggest public golf course.
Company’s Chief Executive Chris Rosasen described the 1,100- square-foot store as a space with a “Southern clubhouse vibe” featuring wood detailing, simple classic fixtures and leather lounge chairs.
“The new retail store will give us an opportunity to showcase the complete collection and give people a complete Rosasen experience,” Rosasen said. “We also plan to use the store as our design laboratory to test and try out new ideas to help us evolve and grow with our customer every season.”
Some of the design laboratory experiments will include collaborative Rosasen designs with Los Angeles artists and plans for limitededition shoes and women’s designs. Otherwise, expect the Los Angeles clubhouse to feature the company’s complete men’s apparel line and accessories. Rosasen executives David Kasischke, Greg Smith, Greg Lucci and Rosasen hope to expand their clubhouse store concept to golf-crazy Japanese cities, including Osaka and Tokyo, in early 2004. —Andrew Asch
