MAFI Award to Return to CMC
Los Angeles–based accounting and consulting firm Moss Adams LLP and the California Market Center will once again present the Moss Adams Fashion Innovator Award during Los Angeles Fashion Week at the CMC’s “Direction Fall ’04” show on April 2.
Moss Adams launched the awards program last year, presenting the first award to Los Angeles designer Corey Lynn Calter. The award recognized how Calter’s company had significantly impacted the national marketplace “by exemplifying California fashion through unique and compelling designs, manufacturing and/or marketing.” Calter also received $5,000 in consulting services from Moss Adams.
A committee of retailers, press and stylists will select this year’s MAFI recipient. Moss Adams Managing Partner Rob Greenspan will present the award to the winner before the CMC runway show at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.
“Moss Adams is proud to continue our association with the California Market Center by promoting the talent and creativity that make up our innovative design community,” Greenspan said.
