Innovo Taps Levy
Innovo Group Inc., the Los Angeles-area company that makes women’s and men’s apparel under its own Joe’s Jeans, Da-Nang and Yanuk brands and sells products with the Bongo and Fetish labels, recently promoted Pierre Levy to general manager of apparel operations.
Levy joined the $218 million company last summer as head of product sourcing after Innovo acquired the Blue Concepts division of Azteca Production International Inc., based in City of Commerce, Calif., for $21.5 million.
As head of sourcing, Levy established the Innovo Hong Kong Apparel subsidiary’s sourcing and apparel operations overseas.
Prior to joining Innovo, Levy was chief operating officer for Azteca Production, which manufactures denim for such labels as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, J. Crew, American Eagle Outfitters and Bongo.
Prior to joining Azteca, Levy was owner and president of Olive, a Los Angeles apparel company. —Deborah Belgum
