Going Supreme
Santa Monica–based Mossimo Inc. has asked the California Supreme Court to review a decision made by the California Court of Appeal. The court decided in favor of Van Nuys–based Cherokee Inc. in a dispute concerning Mossimo’s licensing deal with Target Corp. Mossimo is contesting payment of Cherokee’s finder’s fee for assisting Mossimo broker the deal with the Minneapolis retail giant in 2000. Several lower courts have already ruled in Cherokee’s favor.
