Confidence Back
The Consumer Confidence Index rebounded after four months of flagging results, according to the Conference Board, the New York–based research company that tracks the index. The Conference Board found that the index rose from 92.6 in November to 102.3 in December (as of Dec. 20, the cutoff date for the organization’s preliminary findings). The Conference Board’s Expectations Index increased to 99.9 from 90.2, and its Present Situation Index rose to 105.9 from 96.3 during the same period.
