Local Designer's Military Gift
Los Angeles maternity designer Rita Faith Scott gave free clothing from her Double Occupancy Maternity line to military wives as part of her efforts to help the U.S. troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The designer offered a top and pants or a dress to the first 100 pregnant military wives who visited her Web site (www.doubleoccupancymaternity.com) and provided Scott with her husband’s name, troop number and location.
By the time the promotion ended, Scott had provided free maternity apparel to 150 pregnant military wives and military servicewomen. She is currently offering military wives and servicewomen a discount on her maternitywear.
Scott’s line is designed to be adjustable to fit women throughout the duration of their pregnancies. The collection ranges from casualwear to business and evening apparel.
