Designers, show producers and organizers are gearing up for a difficult New York Fashion Week, which will fall immediately after the Republican National Convention in New York, according to a recent story in The New York Times. During the busy week before the fashion shows, security in the city will be stepped up, and Seventh Avenue between 29th and 42nd streets will be blocked off while the convention is in session.
