Kmart, Martha Continued
Troy, Mich.–based retailer Kmart announced plans to continue its partnership with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. for home deacute;cor products under the Martha Stewart brand despite Stewart’s felony conviction last month for obstructing a stock-sale investigation. Kmart, currently under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, recently closed 600 stores and agreed to drop a lawsuit against Martha Stewart Living over royalty payments. The Kmart/Martha deal will run through 2010.
