City of Industry-based retailer Hot Topic has hired Christopher Kearns as senior vice president, general counsel reporting to Hot Topic Chief Executive Officer Betsy McLaughlin. Kearns was previously in private practice, most recently with Cooley Godward LLP, where Hot Topic was his client.
