CFDA Award Nominees
Carolina Herrera, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Ralph Rucci for Chado Ralph Rucci have been nominated for Womenswear Designer of the Year by the New York–based Council of Fashion Designers of America. Sean Combs for Sean John, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren have been nominated for Menswear Designer of the Year. Derek Lam, Zac Posen and Patrick Robinson for Perry Ellis have been nominated for the Swarovski Perry Ellis Award for Ready-to-Wear, which recognizes emerging designers. The Wall Street Journal Senior Special Writer Teri Agins; photographer Irving Penn; and designers Miuccia Prada, Donna Karan and Tom Ford will also be honored at the CFDA gala on June 7 in New York, as will actress Sarah Jessica Parker for her “personal and professional commitment to fashion.”
