Eleanor Lambert, 100
Centenarian fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert died on Oct. 7 in her Manhattan home. Lambert was influential in shaping New York’s fashion industry as the founder of the International Best-Dressed List. She also helped create the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Coty Awards, the precursor to the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s CFDA Awards.
