Urban Sears
Hoffman Estates, Ill.–based retailer Sears, Roebuck and Co. will roll out urban apparel shops in 50 of its stores. The prototype in-store shops will feature 15 to 20 racks of men’s clothing, including labels P. Miller, South Pole and Run Athletics by Russell Simmons. The stores will be based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Detroit, Miami, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., and will remain open through the holiday season. If the concept is successful, Sears will expand the program to more stores next year.
