Narayan Joins Blue Cult
Blue Cult has hired Tara Narayan to be its marketing director, a new position with the Los Angeles–based denim manufacturer. Narayan will report to Blue Cult Chief Executive Officer David Mechaly and Creative Director Caroline Athias and will work out of Blue Cult’s headquarters in Vernon, Calif.
The move to hire a marketing director comes on the heels of a major push to increase brand recognition, the company said. “With many bright surprises just on the horizon, Tara’s knowledge and expertise will prove a great asset,” said Athias.
Previously, Narayan spent five years as director of global in-store marketing for Gap Inc., where she was instrumental in expanding product lines for Gap, Gap Kids, Baby Gap and Gap Body divisions.
In her new position, Narayan will be in charge of developing and executing several marketing strategies for the company, including product development and retail expansion. —C.F.
