Eyeshadow Launches Lingerie Line
Los Angeles–based juniors manufacturer Eyeshadow has signed a licensing agreement with Burlen Corp. to produce a line of lingerie for young women.
The Tifton, Ga.–based lingerie manufacturer will be in charge of merchandising, design and sales for the moderately priced juniors collection.
“Lingerie is a natural step for a trendy company like Eyeshadow,” said Tony Litman, co-owner of Stony Apparel Corp., parent company of Eyeshadow. “Burlen’s expertise in this market makes them the perfect choice to manufacture and distribute Eyeshadow lingerie.”
Seven years ago, Litman and his partner, Steve Maiman, founded the private-label manufacturer of juniors tops and bottoms. The company launched its own juniors tops line, Eyeshadow, a year later.
Made with knit and woven fabrications, silhouettes include camisoles, chemises, panties, thongs, hipster panties and boyshorts in bright pastel colors. The line will also include lacetrim details.
With wholesale price points ranging from $2.50 to $8.50, the line will be sold at Eyeshadow’s existing accounts, including Dillard’s, Federated and JCPenney stores.
The line previewed last August at MAGIC International in Las Vegas and bowed during New York’s Intimate Apparel Market at Burlen’s showroom. —Claudia Figueroa
