Transition to Macy's
Several of the stores under the Federated Department Stores Inc. umbrella are getting hyphenated. The Bon Marcheacute;, Burdines, Lazarus and Goldsmith’s stores will be renamed The Bon Marcheacute;–Macy’s, Burdines- Macy’s, Lazarus-Macy’s and Goldsmith’s- Macy’s, as the Cincinnatibased retail giant prepares to transition a complete name change for the stores. The name change will begin in August and will coincide with a national advertising campaign and a $100 million renovation project. The company already renamed its Rich’s department-store chain Rich’s- Macy’s in Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama earlier this year.
