City of Hope to Honor Marty Josephson
The Apparel Industries Group, a fund-raising group for the City of Hope National Medical Center, will honor Marty Josephson, co-founder of Stonefield Josephson Inc., at its Dream Catchers Ball. The event will take place June 7 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The Apparel Industries Group will present Josephson with the Spirit of Life award on behalf of the cancer center.
“He has well over 30 years of association with the City of Hope,” said City of Hope spokesman Joe Broady.
A graduate of Harvard University, Josephson began his career in a New York accounting firm. He later transferred to the firm’s West Coast office, where he became a partner. In 1975, he and Joel Stonefield formed the Santa Monica–based firm Stonefield Josephson, which provides financial advice to manufacturers, distributors, importers and retailers. He has long been associated with major apparel firms.
“The benefit will mark the apparel industry’s 70th anniversary of organized support for the City of Hope,” said Mark Brutzkus, president of the Apparel Industries Group and a partner in the Ezra/Brutzkus/Gubner law firm in Encino, Calif.
