Tukatech Gets Deal With Kohl's
Los Angeles CAD supplier Tukatech Inc. has forged a deal to deliver 25 station CAD systems with digitizers and plotters to Menomonee Falls, Wis.–based Kohl’s Corp.
Kohl’s will use the systems to communicate with its supply chain and receive technical data such as patterns, size grades and markers. Suppliers without CAD systems will be able to communicate with Kohl’s through Tukaweb, Tukatech’s online service, and Tukacenters, its free-standing CAD rental centers.
Kohl’s Vice President of Product Services Roger Mayerson said the company was looking for a seamless environment to help improve its production efficiency worldwide.
“Transparency in the supply chain is one of our goals,” he said. “Tukatech, with its Tukaweb and Tukacenters and open systems, will allow us to communicate seamlessly with our vendors.”
“Our products and services through the Web and our centers offer Kohl’s the opportunity of bringing the right merchandise at the right time,” added Tukatech Chief Executive Officer Ram Sareen. —Robert McAllister
