Levi's, Esprit Dispute
San Francisco–based Levi Strauss & Co. has charged Hong Kong–based Esprit Holdings Ltd. with using Levi’s distinctive stitching on the back-pocket name tag of its jeans. Levi’s said it has used the stitching style since 1936 and is seeking damages, including any profit Esprit has earned from the jeans it has sold.
