Wayne to Head Old Navy Marketing
Susan Wayne has been named executivevice president of marketing at Old Navy, a division of San Francisco–based retailer Gap Inc. She will report to Old Navy President Jenny Ming.
“Susan brings strong marketing and consumer- insight expertise to Old Navy,” Ming said. “She perfectly complements the talented team we already have in place and further enhances our ability to build the Old Navy brand and deliver unique marketing for our distinct customer segments.”
Wayne was previously the executive vice president of Leo Burnett USA, a Chicagobased advertising agency. At the agency, she served as a brand consultant for apparel companies, including Gap and Banana Republic.
Wayne led the Leo Burnett account team in Gap’s brand-building effort, which is still in progress.
Advertising Age named Wayne as one of its “2003 Women to Watch.”
In her new position, Wayne will oversee all aspects of marketing for the Old Navy brand, including advertising, in-store promotion and public-relations activities.—Claudia Figueroa
