Happy Campers
More than 900 7- to 13-year-olds were outfitted with camp clothing at the recent Camp Max Straus Clothing Distribution Day. The Fashion Industries Division of the Jewish Federation organized the event, which also featured carnival games and live entertainment. Local apparel companies donated clothing for the kids to wear at Camp Max Straus, a summer camp for low-income children. The kids attend camp for a minimal fee, and the Jewish Federation emphasizes that “no child is ever turned away due to the inability to pay.”
