Stepping Back From Gap
Gap Inc. founder Donald G. Fisher has stepped down as chairman of the apparel company. Fisher founded the company 34 years ago in San Francisco as a single store that sold jeans from Levi Strauss & Co. Fisher, who will remain on the board with his wife, Doris, turned over the chairmanship to his son, Robert.
