Factory Orders Up
Factory orders nationwide increased in June by 1.7 percent to $326 billion, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce. The increase was the largest gain in three months, according to the department, which attributed the rise to increases in orders for big-ticket items such as cars, commercial aircraft and machinery.
