Ellis' Union Suit
The Union of Needletrades, Industrial and Textile Employees has filed a lawsuit against Perry Ellis International charging that the apparel manufacturer is restricting its rights as a shareholder. UNITE owns a portion of Perry Ellis stock and has requested a list of all of Perry Ellis’ shareholders in order to “communicate with fellow Perry Ellis shareholders concerning certain proposals company management will be putting to a vote at the Perry Ellis annual shareholders’ meeting in May,” according to a statement from the union.
