Los Angeles Fashion Week Fall I 2003: Catelle
Visitors to Adele Catelle’s Fall 2003 fashion show got a chance to see the designer in one of her playful moods.
“I just wanted to steer clear of the morbid situation that’s going on in the world and just have fashion be a distraction for a moment,” said Catelle, who debuted her first collection to a large group of friends and fashion followers on April 5 at the Beverly Hills Country Club.
Indeed, many pieces in Catelle’s 21-piece collection revealed their own playful personalities. A sheer, zebra-print, bias-cut skirt was paired with a black satin tube top; a red georgette dress was softly gathered in the front; and a black-and-tan striped leather corset was worn with taupe pinstriped trousers. —Claudia Figueroa
