Los Angeles Fashion Week Fall I 2003: Chang Reyes
Los Angeles–based designers Steven Chang and Miguel Reyes showed some brightly charged fashion designs for their Fall 2003 runway show, held April 3 at Smashbox Studios in Culver City.
The 48-piece collection boasted a color palette of turquoise, raspberry, gold and fuchsia. A fuchsia silk, cut-tie dress; a midnight- blue leather, cropped jacket paired with a hand-knitted, silkchiffon halter dress; and an Edwardian- sleeved blouse paired with gray wool pants were a few pieces in the collection. The designers borrowed heavily from the 1940s with wool, tailored suits and dresses with silk-ribbon embellishments, sailor collars and bow ties. —Claudia Figueroa
