Gerber Names New West Coast, European Posts
Tolland, Conn.-based Gerber Technology has named Rodney Harrelson to the position of senior sales executive replacing Malcolm Gullish, who recently left the company to join Los Angeles-based Tukatech Inc. Harrelson will oversee sales for most of the Los Angeles area.
He comes to the company from Atlanta-based Lectra Systems, where he was director of strategic business development. He was also formerly employed by Texas-based MicroDynamics Inc., a company that was acquired by Gerber in 1994 and was the originator of Gerber’s Product Development Management product line.
“Rodney’s addition to an already successful West Coast team will increase the momentum in a region where we’ve realized a 44 percent increase in sales this year over last,” commented Sam Simpson, executive director, global sales, for Gerber.
In his new position, Harrelson will report to Bud Staples.
Gerber has also hired Per Larsson as deputy regional director for Central Europe. Larsson will be based in Munich, Germany, and will report to Werner Vetter, regional director for the region.
In his new position, Larsson will be responsible for the management of agent and distributor operations in the territories of Benelux, CIS (the former Soviet Union), Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, the Baltic countries, Greece and Turkey. —Robert McAllister
