Martin Joins Gap Board of Directors
San Francisco-based Gap Inc. announced that former Wal-Mart executive Bob Martin has joined the specialty retailer’s board of directors.
Prior to joining Gap, Martin held executive positions at Wal-Mart for 15 years. He served as president and chief executive officer of the Bentonville, Ark.-based retail giant’s international division from 1993 to 1999, helping the division grow from an initial investment in Mexico to more than 700 stores in eight countries with annual sales of more than $12 billion. Before that, he served as Wal-Mart’s chief information officer. —Nola Sarkisian-Miller
