Hard Lessons
A U.S. District Court judge in California has issued a temporary restraining order and seizure order for more than 20,000 counterfeit items bearing the School of Hard Knocks label. The New York-based urban apparel brand announced that it has recovered goods estimated to have a retail value of $250,000 from three distributors in Los Angeles. The company, which anticipates a 20 percent loss in business this year because of counterfeit merchandise, said the lawsuit indicates its intention to protect its trademark.
