Consolidated Canned
Vancouver, Wash.-based trucking company Consolidated Freight announced that it would seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and will close its U.S. operations and prepare to liquidate its business. The move will affect its 15,500 employees, including more than 1,900 in California. The 73-year-old trucking firm has been struggling in recent years.
