Smart Clothing
High-tech clothing was on the runway during the International Symposium on Wearable Computing, hosted by Infineon Technologies and held at the University of Washington earlier this month. Some of the technologies on the catwalk were a jacket with a voice-controlled digital audio player sewn into the sleeve, a shirt that monitors the wearer's medical vital signs, and clothing with radio chips that track inventory and assure brand authenticity.
