Kerkes Joins Tommy Bahama
Resort apparel maker Tommy Bahama has announced the appointment of Don Kerkes as director of the company’s denim division Indigo Palms, a new post reporting to Tony Margolis, president and chief executive of ficer.
Kerkes has held senior posts at wholesale operations including Generra Sportswear, Mossimo Inc. and, more recently, Ambiguous Industries, an action sports clothing company based in Irvine, Calif.
“Joining Tommy Bahama and the Indigo Palms team is the ultimate compliment,” said Kerkes. “I’m very excited to become a member of this dynamic company and to have the opportunity to help promote Tommy Bahama’s relaxed, casual, life-is-one-long-weekend philosophy within the Indigo Palms division.”
Based in New York and Seattle, the company promotes upscale living with resort-driven casual spor tswear for men and women, swimwear, accessories and home furnishings. Tommy Bahama operates 24 free-standing stores in the U.S. and is also sold at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom. —Claudia Figueroa
