Great Escape Hires Executive Staff
Los Angeles-based childrenswear manufacturer Great Escape announced it has hired George Morris as Bottoms Merchandiser and Andrew Stein as Director of Imports for both Great Escape and Stony Apparel, which manufactures junior sportswear in Los Angeles under the Eyeshadow label.
Steve Maiman, owner of Great Escape and founder/co-owner of Stony Apparel, said, “Both Andrew and George are industry experts in their respective positions. Each has a proven track record for generating successful results in their field, and I am thrilled to have such a strong team as our foundation.”
Previously, Morris held management and merchandising positions at B.U.M. Equipment, Sunday Driver and Lawman Jeans. In his new position, he will be responsible for developing a collection of bottoms.
Stein joins Great Escape/Stony Apparel with extensive retailing and manufacturing experience, having worked for Rampage Clothing, Saks Fifth Avenue, I. Magnin, Gap, Jerry Leigh of California and CL Fashions. In his new position, Stein will be in charge of sourcing imported products for both the Great Escape and Eyeshadow brands. —Claudia Figueroa
