CMC Sets 2003 Dates, June Market Schedule
The California Market Center, formerly known as the California Mart, has set 2003 market dates. Summer ’03 market will be held Jan. 17–21; Fall 1 market will be held April 4–8; Fall 2/Holiday market will be held June 6–10; Holiday/Resort market will be held Aug. 8–12; and Spring market will be held Oct. 31–Nov. 4.
Building officials also announced the schedule of events for Fall/Holiday 2002 market.The week will open June 7 with Namaste [“warm welcome” in Hindustani], an India-inspired cocktail party in the building’s Lobby Atrium.
The cocktail party for buyers, designers and press will feature an India-themed deejay, Baba G; a multimedia performance by artist Sheinina Raj; and a buffet of Indian-inspired food.
Temporary resources will be found at several guest shows, including Focus, showing in the Fashion Theater; Pacific Coast Travelers, showing on the “A” side of the 13th floor; the Intimate Occasions Salon, on the “A” and “B” sides of the 10th floor; and the Los Angeles Shoe Show, on the “B” side of the 13th floor. Fall/Holiday market week runs June 7–11. —Darryl James
