FBI Plans Grand Opening Fashion Show, Fund-raiser
The Fashion Business Incubator (FBI), the Los Angeles nonprofit organization that assists startup and growing fashion companies, will host its annual fund-raiser on June 29 in its new 5,000-square-foot training facility in the New Mart.
The event will raise funds for equipment and furnishings for the new center, which was constructed thanks to a grant from the city of Los Angeles and the Department of Water and Power and contributions from the New Mart. The center includes a showroom, photo studio, computer lab, classrooms and office space.
Several FBI members will participate in a runway presentation, which will be emceed by stylist Brenda Cooper and Los Angeles Times writer Michael Quintanilla.
