A. Testoni Gets Revamped
Italian leather goods maker A. Testoni celebrated the reopening of its newly renovated Beverly Hills, Calif., boutique with a party held May 14.
The 1,700-square-foot store, which officially opened May 9 after a month-long redesign, features a stark-white interior accented with dark wood displays of men’s and women’s shoes; leather goods, including travel bags, briefcases, carry-ons and luggage; and smaller accessories, including belts, gloves and wallets.
The 10-year-old Beverly Hills boutique is the largest of the company’s stores in the United States, which include locations in Honolulu and New York. The Honolulu store underwent a renovation last year, and a New York upgrade is in the works for 2003.
Globally, A. Testoni has 60 stores and plans to expand in key markets both abroad, with a store opening in Milan, Italy, this June, and in the United States, including Bal Harbour, Fla., and Costa Mesa, Calif., according to Samantha Catalano, the Bologna, Italy-based company’s public relations director.
“[The renovations] are among the many steps the company is taking as part of its marketing and communication strategy,” Catalano said. A new advertising campaign shot by Peter Lindbergh will bow this fall, she added. —N.S.-M.
