Urban Upgrade
The Los Angeles city council voted in favor of a $2.4 billion plan to revitalize 879 acres of downtown Los Angeles encompassing several business improvement districts including the Fashion District. The project, which calls for nearly 13,000 housing units and 6.7 million square feet of commercial development, will be funded by downtown property taxes and overseen by the Community Redevelopment Agency.
