Louis Vuitton Bows in Century City
Louis Vuitton is growing its presence in the Los Angeles market with this month’s opening of a 1,975-square-foot store in the Century City Shopping Center.
Designed by architect Peter Marino, the unit will feature a large stone, metal and glass facade and will stock leather goods, accessories, stationery, ties and luggage that “will satisfy the Century City market,” according to a company spokesperson.
The new store is located just one mile southwest of the company’s global store in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive. That 12,000-square-foot unit carries the entire Louis Vuitton line of accessories and luggage as well as women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections and shoes.
The addition of Louis Vuitton to the Century City Shopping Center is part of the open-air mall’s two-year plan to increase the number of its high-end retailers, said marketing manager Janet LaFevre. Tiffany, Via Spiga and Cole Haan are among the center’s newest upscale tenants.
The Century City store marks the fourth location in the Los Angeles area for Louis Vuitton, which is owned by parent French luxury goods group LVMH Moeuml;t Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Other locations include one at the Beverly Center mall and the in-store shop at the DFS Galleria at the 6-month-old Hollywood & Highland shopping complex. —Nola Sarkisian-Miller
