Jones Is Acquiring Gloria
New York-based apparel giant Jones Apparel Group announced plans to purchase Gloria Vanderbilt Corp. in a deal valued at $138 million. The acquisition adds both the Gloria Vanderbilt and the Glo labels to Jones’ stable of brands, which includes Jones New York, Evan-Picone, Rena Rowan, Nine West, Easy Spirit, Enzo Angiolini, Bandolino and Todd Oldham and licensed brands Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Ralph by Ralph Lauren and Polo Jeans Co.
