Tredwin Joins Tukatech Web Venture
Peter Tredwin has been named chief operating officer of TukaWeb Inc., the Web-based spinoff of Los Angeles-based CAD/CAM producer Tukatech Inc.
Previously, Tredwin was employed by Gerber Technology as vice president of sales and world marketing. He has served in various sales and marketing capacities for Pfaff, Durkopp and Rimoldi, all global suppliers of sewing technology. He also has been a lecturer, trainer and pre-production technology consultant, specializing in pre-production digital automation and mass customization.
In addition, Tredwin was founding president of the Sewn Products Equipment Suppliers Association and is an active member of its board of directors as well as a member of the board of directors of the University of Massachusetts’ Department of Consumer Studies and an advisor to the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
Tredwin will be working out of Tukatech’s Los Angeles headquarters as well as his New Mexico office. He will be responsible for managing the integration of the company’s Tukacenters, which are walk-in centers that offer CAD/CAM rentals and training.
TukaWeb is Tukatech’s Internet-based venture, which is aimed at providing users with such services as marker making, grading and pattern making data and the ability to use plotting services remotely from around the world regardless of which CAD or CAM system is being used. —Robert McAllister
