Southland Wal-Mart
Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer Wal-Mart announced plans to open a 150,000-square-foot store in the Harbor Gateway area of Los Angeles. The deal, which has yet to be finalized, is part of the discounter’s expansion plans for California. A Baldwin Hills Wal-Mart is slated to open this fall, and the company plans to open 40 of its Supercenters—discount stores with attached supermarkets—over the next four to six years.
