Hot Kiss Goes Abroad With Cherokee
Los Angeles-based junior manufacturer Hot Kiss recently announced an exclusive agreement with Van Nuys, Calif.-based Cherokee Group to pursue licensing agreements for its junior sportswear, denim and dresses throughout Europe, Asia and South America.
“With the amount of inquiries we are receiving from companies outside of the U.S., we felt it would be most effective to enlist the services of the Cherokee Group to represent us for license agreements internationally,” said Moshe Tsabag, chairman and chief executive officer of Hot Kiss Inc.
Howard Siegel, president of the Cherokee Group, said his company’s network of international retailers are looking for “emerging brands” like Hot Kiss.
“We believe that there are significant opportunities for companies outside of the U.S. to utilize the fashion and design direction coming from Hot Kiss to build the brand internationally.” Siegel said.
Hot Kiss forged several licensing agreements last year for Hot Kiss handbags and eyewear. The company was founded in 1996 by Tsabag and is sold to better department and specialty stores nationwide, including Wet Seal/Contempo Casuals, Dillard’s, Burdines, Nordstrom, Gadzooks and Macy’s.
