TALA Honors Save A Life, Sachs
The Textile Association of Los Angeles (TALA) will honor local philanthropic organization California Fashion Industries Save A Life and TALA member Carol Sachs as Friend of TALA and Member of the Year, respectively, at TALA’s inaugural luncheon on Jan. 23 in the California Mart Fashion Theater.
California Fashion Industries Save A Life is a 34-year-old nonprofit organization founded to assist anyone within the California apparel industry—regardless of position—in need of financial assistance due to illness or misfortune.
Sachs is a longtime TALA member who heads up the group’s scholarship and entertainment committees. She is also the newly reelected vice president of TALA’s board.
The event will also recognize TALA’s incoming board members: Ann K. Davis, president; Carol Sachs, Larry Schechter and Brian Weitman, vice presidents; Daniel Sassower, secretary; Howard Gillman, treasurer; and board members Gerald Cohen, Eileen Ellis, Hal Kaltman, Sholeh Nabili, Jim Osterman, Shane Rabineau, Tony Roman, Jack Stein, Fran Tesser-Sude and Shelly Zitner.
