MAGIC's Mix
Spring 2003 had many faces at WWDMAGIC’s runway presentation at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. The fashion show showcased a mix of trends for the upcoming season including cargo pants, shown utility or military-style and loungy with a drawstring waist on sweatsuit versions; crochet, as trim, insets on tops and jeans or mixed with prints for a patchwork effect; deconstruction, shredded details and an overall modern take on silhouettes; and a look that was something in between ethnic, earthy and rock ’n’ roll with caftans, batik prints on blouses and a tie-dye and denim group from Hot Kiss as the show’s finale. —Joselle Yokogawa
