Self Esteem, Kid's Headquarters Sign Bottoms Agreement
Los Angeles-based novelty-top maker Self Esteem announced that it has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Kid’s Headquarters New York to produce junior bottoms.
“We are very excited about working with such a strong partner in the development of the Self Esteem bottoms line,” said Molly Robbins, vice president of licensing for Kid’s Headquarters.
Self Esteem said the collection will be geared toward major department stores and junior specialty retailers who currently carry the Self Esteem collection, including May Department Stores, Federated, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Kohl’s and Sears.
Self Esteem, which advocates confidence through trendy and affordable fashion, said it decided to sign the agreement because Kid’s Headquarters understands licensing and has a strong presence in retail. “They have a real passion to succeed and that’s what appealed to our company,” said Self Esteem president Richard Clareman.
Kid’s Headquarters said it has launched a new division to develop and manage the junior fashion line called Junior Headquarters, which is preparing to open a showroom in New York’s garment district. —Claudia Figueroa
